Make Your Research Visible with Video with Bruce Hood, PhD of My-Thesis.org

The best research thesis videos invite curiosity. Professor Bruce Hood joins me for this episode of The Social Academic Podcast. We talk about My-Thesis.org, a new repository for graduate students and early career researchers to share videos.

Do you want to make your research more visible? Video is a great option for academics like you.

First inspired by 3MT competitions, My-Thesis now has over 1,500 videos from 150+ institutions. You can submit your video to be included and create a profile that helps people connect with you.

Have you ever thought about making a video like this? Bruce shared the best thesis videos are focused on 1 thing, that “less is more.” And rather than asking people to “imagine this,” bring them right into a statement they can hold onto that’s intriguing.

Do you have a video already you’re open to sharing? I love that My-Thesis give a 2nd life to the hard work you put into recording a video about your research.
